‘Valsan studio’ was the only studio in Kuttichira. Valsan was an armchair critic.With a birds -eye view he has seen and documented lives of Kuttichira people.He took Ramani’s wedding photograph. A month later she came with her husband Damosaran to take their honeymoon photo. when Ammu was born three of them came together to take a photo. Finally when they filed divorce petition , Ramani came to take a passport size photograph.

Photographs are infact menifestos of our life on earth. The govt remembers us through our passport size photograph pasted on different applications, school remembers us, Panchayat remembers,bank reminds and remembers, marriages cherish and remembers and finally we are in the obituary coloumn. Ammu feels that a photograph is a duplicate copy of the real moment .Rather an imitation of the unreal world.Valsan has his studio wall complete with smiling faces made more unreal through his editing .Art for artificiality sake.
