Ammu went with her mother Ramani for the wedding. Beef Biriyani with dates pickle, ‘Kada’ fry,’ Kozhi nirachath’, ‘Kava’ tea, jaggery, banana were kept ready on the table. It is a Kozhikodan ritual to have beef Biriyani and gulp down a glass of ‘Kava’.
Ramani hates beef for no reason .she picked a few pieces eclectically and said ‘ nothing can come in par with the ‘Hindu Sambar’. For the first time I came to know that sambar has a religion. And it is Hindu in origin.
